[ The shop owner stares at them in bewilderment, then starts to grow mildly irritated. 'I don't got time for you kids and your games. What do you want?'

Didn't she just tell him what she wanted, though? ]

[ The man is so vexed by the two that he shoos them away. ]

[ The shopkeeper has had just enough of their nonsense. He points at a restroom stop not too far from where they are. If you want crap that bad, there's a ton of it over there! Now stop bothering me, you perverted bunch of kids!']

--PERVERTED?! How?! [ HOW IS WHAT THEY SAID PERVERTED? THEY JUST WANTED A SWEET SNACK. Okay, something is definitely not right here. The customers standing behind them start to snigger at them, muttering something about 'do they even know what a crap is?! ]

[ Oh no. Oh no, oh no, they're laughing and murmuring. Just as she feared, it's like the imperial court all over again, and Ka Koubun isn't here to tell her to be strong and hold her hand. An uneasy Kougyoku backs up into Kija and whispers, ]

Is it something we said? Let's just leave...

[ Did she appear meeker, for some reason? The whispers don't seem to bother Kija at all, given how thick his skin came (literally too, if we're talking about his dragon hand), but he does acknowledge that some girls were more sensitive to such things. ]

Do not mind them. I do not know what is wrong with what we said, but if they have a problem with us they should tell us instead of snigger behind our backs! That is what cowards do.

[ There's a huff, and he shoots those people a frown. Then, offers Kougyoku a hand, intending to lead her away. ]
